Privacy policy

This policy explains what data TaajX collects when you visit, why, and how we protect it. By using the site you agree to it.

1. What we collect

  • Visit statistics: the page you visited, your type of device (desktop, mobile or tablet) and the site you came from. We do not record your IP address or link this data to your identity, and we delete it after a set period.
  • Newsletter: your email address, and your name if you enter it, used only to send the newsletter.
  • Comments: your name, email, comment text and IP address, to fight spam. Your email is never published.
  • Notifications: if you turn on browser notifications, we store only the subscription address your browser issues, to alert you to new tips.
  • Reactions: when you react to a tip we store an encrypted code derived from your session to prevent duplicates. It does not identify you.
  • Language: if you use the language switcher, a cookie remembers your choice.

2. Cookies

We use a session cookie that the site needs to work and to protect its forms. Our partners may use other cookies, as described below.

3. Third-party services

  • Google Analytics (when enabled): to measure overall traffic, with part of your IP address masked.
  • Google AdSense (when enabled): Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your previous visits to this and other sites. You can turn off personalised ads in Google's ad settings.
  • Fonts: we load our reading font from Bunny Fonts.

4. How we use data

To run and improve the site, send the newsletter to those who asked for it, manage comments and prevent abuse. We do not sell your data or share it for marketing.

5. Your rights and choices

  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter in one click from the link at the bottom of every email.
  • Turn off notifications with the "Turn off notifications" button or in your browser settings.
  • Ask us to delete your comment or data through our contact page.

6. Security and retention

We protect data with an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and limited access. We delete visit statistics after 180 days and keep newsletter data until you unsubscribe.

7. Children

The site is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under thirteen.

8. Changes

We may update this policy; the date of the latest update appears at the top of the page.
